Note From the Directors
As the Co-Directors of Camps for the Southern California Seahorses we want to welcome you. The Seahorses have been a stronghold in the soccer community for over 25 years. Our camps are designed to help develop players at every level of the game, from the recreational player to the elite club player. Our staff consists of players from our Premier Development Team that plays at La Mirada High School during the summer months. These players are some of the best college talent in the United States. Many of our players have gone on to play at the professional level.

While it is our desire to see kids progress in the game of soccer it is equally important to see them achieve in life off of the soccer field. Along with our soccer instruction we will go through a Bible curriculum.

We hope you choose The So. Cal. Seahorses for your winter soccer camp experience. It will be a summer you will never forget!

Seahorse Soccer Camps Ready for 2009

Seahorse soccer is ready to begin its summer soccer camps.  The Seahorses have been steadfastly prominent in the soccer community for over 25 years. Seahorse camps are designed to improve players of all skill levels, from the recreational player to the premier club player. The staff is comprised of top notch players from the Premier Development Team that plays at La Mirada High School during the summer season. These players boast some of the finest college-level talent in the United States, and many of the players continue on to play at the professional level.

The Camp Directors this year are Ben Orr, a Seahorse staffer who was a 3-time college All-American, and Juan Mares, and USSF A Licensed coach. The staff will be instructing campers on a variety of technical and tactical situations as well as giving them the tools for individual focus and growth in the game.Seahorse camps are geared for ages 5-14 and the goal is not only to see kids hone their soccer skills, but to also instruct and mentor them in things not pertaining to soccer. As well as the soccer sessions the Seahorses will be teaching lessons from the Bible. “All My Might,” is the theme this year, and the Seahorses are eager to get started and look forward to teaching your camper and allowing God to do His work in us and the campers this year.
   
Camp Director Ben Orr believes the camps this year will be very beneficial for all campers and will teach them a great deal. “Coach Juan and I are extremely excited about the camps this year. We have a great schedule lined up and I am looking forward to seeing some "Mighty Play" out on the fields this summer. With our theme entitled "All My Might", our goal is to see our campers improve in "Mighty Ways" as they learn new skills under the direction of coach Juan who holds a USSF A license. Juan will bring an elite style of instruction to our camps as he is a great student of the game. This year we have made our camps more affordable without compromising the quality that Seahorse Camps have offered over the last 25 years. We hope you join us”   
   
The first camp session begins June 22-26 and the camps will continue through July.  The Seahorses will partner with churches in every location which are Anaheim Hills – Vineyard Church, Hanford – 1st Baptist Church, La Mirada – Living Waters Church, Pasadena – Lake Ave Church, Tustin – Red Hill Lutheran Church & School and Yorba Linda – Rose Dr. Friends Church. The final camp is July 27-31 at Biola University in La Mirada, and camps are sure to fill up fast so do not wait until the last minute to get signed up. There are a couple of different ways to register; you can do it on our website or register by mail. There are also plenty of camper benefits and prizes that will be given out as well.
